In July 1967, Quaid-i-Azam University (formerly known as Islamabad University) was founded by the Act of National Assembly. Initially, the university provided PhD and MPhil degree programs for teaching and research purposes. However, the decision was made over time to also offer undergraduate, graduate, and Master’s programs.

Qualification & Experience for Director BPS-21

• Ph.D. in the relevant field from a university recognized by HEC.

• 15 years of teaching/research experience in a HEC-accredited university or postgraduate institution, or professional experience in a relevant field in a national or international organization

• OR

• 10 years of post-Ph.D. teaching or research experience in a recognized university, post-graduate institution, or professional experience in the relevant field in a national or international organization.

• 15 retrospective publications with at least 5 publications in the last 5 years in HEC recognized journals

Qualification & Experience for Director BPS-20

• Ph.D. in the relevant field from a university recognized by HEC.
• 10 years of post-Ph.D. teaching or research experience in a recognized university, post-graduate institution, or professional experience in the relevant field in a national or international organization
• OR
• 5 years of post-Ph.D. teaching or research experience in a HEC-recognized university, a post-graduate institution, or professional experience in the relevant field in a national or international organization.
• The applicant must have 10 research publications, with at least 4 publications in the last 5 years in HEC-recognized journals.
